Well, when I connected a wireless keyboard+mouse and started the computer, not only did the wireless keyboard+mouse work, but the native keyboard and trackpad worked too! So this makes me suspect that it is a software, rather than a hardware issue… But how could it be a software issue when I haven’t performed any OS update in a long time?Īnyway, here are two more additional pieces of info in case its helpful. Of late, on restarting, the computer would complain that it couldn’t detect any keyboard/mouse and start looking for a wireless one. 4-5 times out of 10, a restart would fix it. VIOLA I did steps 4 and 6 and it came back. Close Magic Keyboard (this sort of turns it off) Open, reattach iPad. if connected to power, disconnect from magic keyboard. I solved the issue by taking these steps: reboot iPad. The keyboard and trackpad frequently become non-responsive. Also, my trackpad did not seem to be working either for scrolling, etc.

My Macbook Pro (Retina, 13 inch, Early 2015) has started displaying the same problem. The keyboard and trackpad are completely unrecognised by the computer itself.

I have no idea what to do my MacBook has now been rendered completely useless by this glitch. When my iPhone would connect, it used to switch to the "photos" app, but it's hasn't done this for about a week, although the phone is still charging. The cord is a little frayed and the connection isn't always perfect. Upon installation, I updated from Ventura 13.0 to 13.4, and after a restart keyboard and trackpad started to work. MBP wasnt responding at all so I have figured out to plug in the external keyboard and mouse.

I don't know if it matters, but for the past six weeks or so, I have been charging my iPhone 6s Plus via one of the USB ports. I have bought a brand new MBP M2 and today upon setup I wasnt able to complete the installation without an external keyboard and mouse. Under the Point & Click tab, toggle off the Force Click and haptic feedback switch. Click Trackpad to open the Trackpad settings. I have also tried doing this in safe mode but this does not seem to make a difference. To disable Force Click on a Mac, follow these steps: Click the Apple menu in the top-left corner of the screen and select System Settings from the drop-down menu. I have tried restarting my MacBook but this keeps happening. There isn't a keyboard connected." I have left this window for as long as 15 minutes but nothing changes. After about 30 seconds, a little window popped up saying "Bluetooth keyboard setup. This morning, I launched my MacBook and the trackpad and keyboard were not responsive. If you're in this situation, it's important to check the Accessibility settings, to insure that the built-in trackpad turns off when the external MT2 is attached.I have a 13" MacBook Pro bought in mid-2016.
